DICE N+ EDI Research Workshop
23 September 2026
We are pleased to invite you to contribute your insight to our EDI Research Workshop, 10:00-12:00 online on 23 September
As industries increasingly embrace digital technologies to enable circular business models, an important question remains largely unexplored: who benefits, who may be disadvantaged, and how can we ensure the transition is equitable and inclusive?
Join us for this interactive workshop as we begin a pioneering research project investigating the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) implications of a digitally enabled circular economy. While significant research has examined EDI within the context of a just transition, far less attention has been given to the intersection of digitalisation, circularity and inclusion. This project aims to address that gap and generate some of the first evidence in this emerging field.
Led by Assistant Professor Oliver Fisher, EDI Lead for the DICE N+, the session will use EDI Cards to prompt discussion and capture diverse perspectives from across industry, policy, academia and the third sector. Insights gathered will help shape a future academic journal article and an industry-facing white paper, creating practical guidance for organisations navigating the transition to a more circular and digitally enabled economy.
No prior EDI expertise is required, just a willingness to contribute your perspective and help shape this important conversation. To provide a breadth of perspective, we especially welcome industry, third sector and policy partners to join us.
