Community-Powered Circular Economy: The Role of Data

14 May 2026

While the circular economy is often discussed in technical terms, its success depends on a systemic, human-centred approach. Central to this transition is the creation of digital common grounds; ecosystems where data sharing enables the high-value retention of materials.

This webinar examines the intersection of sociotechnical design and resource management. We analysed the systemic barriers facing UK and global communities and present data-driven frameworks designed to empower local stakeholders.

We heard from leading researchers Dr Clement Lee, Professor Anne Touboulic, Dr Lucy McCarthy, alongside Pauline Metivier from ReLondon and Edward Hibbert from Freegle, who we’ve recently spotlighted in a DICE N+ Case Study.
