DICE Network+ Transformation Pathways event

The DICE N+ Transformation Pathways event, held at the Science Museum in London, brought together almost 90 researchers, industry leaders, innovators, policymakers and funders to explore one of the defining challenges of our time: how to align the rapid growth of digital technologies with the transition to a circular and sustainable economy.

Across a day of keynote talks, panel discussions and collaborative workshops, participants examined how emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, data centres, telecommunications and digital infrastructure can both embed sustainability by design and enable new circular economy solutions at scale. Discussions highlighted the opportunities presented by digital innovation, while also confronting the realities of resource demand, critical material supply chains, carbon accounting and the need for systemic change.

A recurring theme throughout the event was that many of the technological solutions already exist. The challenge now is accelerating adoption through collaboration, innovative business models, supportive policy frameworks and cross-sector partnerships.
